I was born at Villa San Joseph in 1939, in my granparents cottage. My mother Ruby Craven (nee Rawson) was their eldest daughter and lived with them at the Hen & Chicken prior to the move to the cottage. My cousin and I spent many happy holidays at Froyle, it still binds us together to this day.

What a pleasure to see the photos of Hussey's Farm on http://www.froyle.com/hussey60.htm. They bring back memories of visiting my great-uncle Joe and his wife Dita there in the 1960s. It was a marvellous place for a child to visit, with the oast houses, barns and sheds. I remember a rumour that there was a 1930s car in the roof of a barn; but we never found it.

Greetings from New Zealand. It was a great pleasure to discover your site today and to find several records related to my Knight ancestors. My maternal grandmother was a Knight and migrated to New Zealand about 1913.
You can see my family tree at Ancestry.com (Mayes) and I have added new information found here today.
I would be delighted to hear from anyone who cares to get in touch.
Your site is a treasure - keep up the good work.
John

Hello Annette, I spoke to you last night, regarding 10 Westburn Fields, and I must say you were very helpful and a pleasure to talk to. I had many school friends in the early sixties who came from Froyle,(I lived in Alton)one of them being Stephen Russell who lived at 10, and have many fond memories. I love your books, and recognise many of the people whose photographs appear in them.I think the Village of Froyle is lucky to have somebody like you, who takes such an interest in the Village, and if it weren't for people like you, all history would be lost. I think Froyle.com is a brilliant website, the only problem was, it kept me up until the early hours! Hope you enjoyed your birthday. Must give you a call. Thankyou once again.
