The snow of January 1987 was very heavy causing Froyle to be cut off from the outside world for a couple of days or so. Here at Anchor plain (just to the south of the Anchor Public House) it took a snow blower quite a while to move the accumulated drifts. This photograph by Sue Clark shows the magnitude of the task!
