The Fête this year was different for three reasons. Firstly there was a “Win a Car” competition, then we had a procession fro the School in Upper Froyle to the Recreation Ground, andd finally, I was able to record the event on a video camera for the frist time. The quality is not as one would expect in the 21st Century, but VHS recorders had only been available for some five years, and portable ones even less time!
MovieThe procession gathered outside Froyle School to await the car that would take the Fête Queen to the Recreation Ground and lead the procession. Click the icon to see a short video of the event.
