Spring Show Results 2008

We shouldn’t be surprised at the extreme April weather this year but in the week before the show we had everything – wind, rain, snow, sleet and sun. It was with much relief to see the lovely selection of daffodils, tulips and many other spring flowers the members produced for the show.
The show was judged by Mike Cook who was very complimentary on the quality and quantity of the flowers and pot plants entered, especially with the weather conditions this year. Mike was happy to pass on many useful tips to the members as he judged the entries, explaining why he placed them first second and third.
We were very sorry to hear that this will be the last time Mike will be judging as he has now retired. We wish him well and hope he has a long and happy retirement.
