Flower Show July 2015Froyle has a thriving, friendly Gardening Club with over 50 members from Froyle and the surrounding area. Meetings are held at 7.30pm in  the Village Hall usually on the second Friday of the month. There are speakers most months but during the Summer months we have visits to gardens within easy reach. We also have one coach trip each year a little farther afield. At the indoor meetings we have seasonal competitions, an opportunity for members to display fruit flowers or vegetables.
The club holds shows in the Spring and Autumn, and also runs the Summer Show in conjunction with the Fête Committee. The A.G.M. is held in December when the membership fee of £5 is due. Excellent value.
Flower arranging workshops are held usually on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. These are led by Anne Blunt a NAFAS National Judge and Area Teacher. For further information ring 01420 22262. The renowned Geoff Hawkins also carries out workshops, usually in members gardens.
The highlight of the year is the New Year`s Party with superb food, intriguing quizzes and stimulating company.
Members also have the benefit of 10% discount at Mill Lane Farm Shop, Headley, and Southern Fruit Trees, Blackmoor. Also 15% discount at the Chocolate Frog at Kingsley . These discounts are for  garden items only. We welcome new members from near and far.
