Froyle School
Froyle School in the 1950s Froyle School 2001
Froyle School is, or should I say was, in Upper Froyle. It closed in the summer of 1986 due to falling numbers of children (Froyle children now go to school in nearby Bentley) and was converted into a private residence now named “The Old School”.

The ‘old’ picture was taken by the late Bill Lailey (Headmaster) in the 1960s and the modern picture on June 13th 2001.

  • The chimney on what was the school office has been taken down.
  • The grounds have been landscaped.
  • It is no longer a school!
As you can see the original character of the school has been very much retained in the conversion.
