Nature & Wildlife
This is one area we have sadly neglected over the past ten years, which is a shame as Froyle is located in the middle of the most beautiful countryside. We hope to expand this section with photographs of wildlife and plants and, to start off, we have two documents that record the flora of Froyle in 1952 and 1991. The 1952 survey is from the WI Scrapbook and, since it was handwritten, is in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format. The later one was typewritten and transcribed for us by Sue Clark.
In 2010, the International Year of Biodiversity, we have began a new section which introduces the concept of biodiversity globally, nationally and here in Froyle, featuring photographs, information and links to other sites.
The Bees is a short still and video record of a swarm of bees in Lower Froyle.
The latest addition is an up to date map (2013) showing all Sites of Importance for Nature Conservation in Froyle
