Transcription of the will of Ellen Pamplin, 13th July 1633
 
In the name of God amen. The thirteenth day of July in the year of our Lord 1633.1 Ellen Pamplin of Froyle in the County of Southampton, widow, being weak in body, but of perfect memory, thanks be given to God: considering the uncertainty of mans life as also deferring to continued years and love among my children after my departure do make and ordain this my last will and testament: in manner and form following.
First I bequeath my soul to almighty God my only saviour and redeemer:
Secondly I bequeath my body to the earth to be buried in Christian burial.
Next I give and bequeath unto the poor of the parish of Froyle aforesaid the sum of six shillings eight pence.
Item I give unto the parish of Froyle ten shillings to be paid within 12 months and a day.
Item I give unto Master Wilfred Vicar twenty shillings
Item I give and bequeath unto my son Thomas Pamplin the table in the hall John Pamplin my great pot or great pan with he will:
Item I give and bequeath unto Henry Warner, the pot or pan with John my son doth leave.
Item Item I give and bequeath unto Joan the daughter of Thomas Warner my son in law the feather bed whereon I lye lie with the bed sheets and with althings belonging to the bed.
Item I give and bequeath unto Bridgett and unto Anne Warner the daughter of the said Thomas Warner be given a piece of pewter.
Item I give and bequeath unto the four children of my son in law John Trimming £4: that is to each one of them twenty shillings to be paid them within 12 months and a day.
Item I give unto Ann Trimming the daughter of the said John, one box with a lock thereon.
Item I give unto Bridgett Warner the daughter of foresaid Thomas Warner, the other box, with my gown.
Item I give unto John Trimming my son in law five shillings.
Item I give unto John Wakeford twenty shillings to be paid within 12 months and a day after.
Item I constitute and ordain Thomas Warner my son In law and my son Thomas Pamplin executors of this my last will and testament to ? my debts and funeral discharged.
I give and bequeath whatsoever is not given or bequeathed. In witness whereof I have left my mark the day and year above written.
