| The picture above shows the pond on the first day of 1999. It does require considerable maintenance to keep it clear of weed and rubbish. The picture below shows Husseys in the distance on the left. In April 2002, during building work on Pond Cottage (the half timbered cottage on the right of the lower photograph) the old culvert that allowed water to discharge from the pond was re-discovered. It is most likely that this ‘bridge’ gave the name to “Bridge House” (white faced building on the right of the upper picture). For more details follow the Bridge link below. |
