The plans for the new “Prince of Wales” were drawn up in 1908 by the Farnham architect Arthur J Stedman for Crowley's Alton Brewery. It was one of four identical buildings constructed at the same time in the area. In 2005 only “The Jolly Miller” is still a public house.
