Tony Souter is a locally based location
photographer who specialises in travel, corporate and advertising
commissions.
Originally beginning a photographic career as an expedition photographer
on a research yacht in the Indian Ocean, he eventually established
himself on dry land as a more conventional sort of travel photographer
working for a number of leading producers of travel and guide
books.
Tony's portfolio includes work on some forty guide and travel
books for AA Publishing - the publishing arm of the Automobile
Association. For the same publisher he has also been working
on the first of a series of interactive CD ROM guides.
Recent commissions include work on the Eyewitness guide series
on Istanbul and Dublin for Dorling Kindersley. As well as travel
books, Tony undertakes a good deal of work on brochures for a
number of leading tour operators.
Squeezed between travel assignments, commissions have been completed
for a number of corporate and advertising clients producing brochures,
editorial and publicity material.
Tony has exhibited at London's Clarendon Gallery and is also
a regular contributor to the Hutchison Picture Library who have
placed his work with a number of blue-chip commercial clients.
Whilst continuing to service the regular markets with good illustrative
images, Tony hopes to encourage publishers to be a little more
adventurous with the style and usage of pictures, which will
in turn stretch photographers to produce exciting and fresh work.
Tony Souter's portfolio includes a cross section
of work from conventional commercial material to compact-disc and book
covers, as well as a selection of architectural and travel images. Follow
