Transcription of the will of William Warner 1705

Archdeacon’s Will HRO 1706A/105/1

In the name of God Amen the 26 February 1705 I William Warner of Froyle in the Co. Sthmptn yeoman being of perfect memory and remembrance thanks be given to God do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following viz.
First I bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping that through the meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer to receive free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and as for my body to be buried at the discretion of my exors hereafter named.
Item I give unto my brother Thomas Warner £50 to be paid within 1 year after my decease
Item to Thomas Warner junior the son of my brother Thomas Warner the sum of £50 to be paid within one year after my decease.
Item I give unto the Three Children of Thomas Warner junior Charles, Thomas and Elizabeth 20/- each of them to be paid within one year after my decease
Item I give to Henry Warner the youngest son of my brother Thomas Warner the sum of £20 to be paid within one year after my decease
Item I give unto the two children of the aforesaid Henry Warner and Mary 20/- each of them to be paid within one year after my decease
Item I give unto Ann the daughter of my brother Thomas Warner the sum of £20 to be paid within one year after my decease.
Item I give unto Elizabeth Hawker the daughter of my brother John Warner the sum of £20 to be paid within one year after my decease

I give unto the two daughters of John Warner of Holybourne Elizabeth and Sarah 20/- apiece to be paid within one year after my decease

Item I give unto my maidservant Jane Blanchard £5 to be paid within one year after my decease
Item I give to my two men servants George Chandler and William Eame 20/- apiece to be paid in one year after my decease
Item I give unto Elizabeth Hawker daughter of my cousin Elizabeth Hawker 20/- to be paid within one year after my decease

All the rest of my bills bonds goods and chattels I give to my cousin John Warner of Holybourne and his son William Warner my Godson whom I make joint Exors of this my last will and testament to pay my debts and legacies and to look after and make provision for my sister Emlon Warner and let her have house room with them if in case she please to live with them and I do hereby revoke all former wills and testaments in witness hereof I do hereunto set my hand and seal declaring this to be my last will and testament the day and year first above written.
